Wilson beach-volley: balls and gifts
A great gift for a sand fan, the Wilson Cast Away ball, Tom Hanks' companion in the movies, always hits the mark: the brand's beach page pairs it with the OPTX AVP, the official ball of the American professional circuit.
Balls sold individually, in sets, and mini-balls: everything to please both tournament players and holidaymakers.
Alone in the world, in large or mini
The film ball is available in full size and mini-ball. The first is played on the beach, the second decorates a shelf or desk and easily fits into a bag. Two ways to offer a piece of culture from volleyball.
For the tournament player: the OPTX AVP
For a player who participates in tournaments, the OPTX AVP is the serious gift. Official ball of the American circuit, it features Optic Flow graphics that help track its trajectory. The bright yellow is the official version, while the fluorescent yellow is a very visible alternative.
A set for the whole gang
The OPTX AVP and Alone in the world balls come in sets. For a group of friends, a club section or a holiday centre, it's the way to play with identical balls without searching for an extra one.
Molten, Star Beach Wear, Park & Sun: other sand brands
The Molten beach page brings together its women's and leisure sand balls, the Star Beach Wear page for beach textiles, and Park & Sun for field equipment. All are gathered in the beach brands. To gift for less, check out the beach special offers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the mini-ball Alone in the world playable?
It's mainly for memories or decoration, and for a bit of juggling. For real play, get the full-size ball. Both make a lovely duo to gift.
Which Wilson ball to gift to a club player?
The OPTX AVP is the closest choice to competition. Ask them discreetly which ball they use in tournaments to get it right. The Alone in the world remains an excellent addition.
Should I give a pump with a beach ball?
It's a good idea, as a ball needs to be inflated regularly. A compact needle pump fits nicely in the beach bag. Add a ball bag if you want to complete the gift.
Is a Wilson beach ball suitable for a child?
A beach ball is softer than an indoor ball, making it pleasant for a child. The Alone in the world is very popular among the younger ones. For toddlers, a lighter ball would be more appropriate.
